Today's physicians are under a whirlwind of pressure and time constraints, which can make the administrative side of patient care burdensome. Vail Ranch Pharmacy can alleviate some of that burden, and can even save you and your staff time and money when you utilize our specialty pharmacy services.
If you have a patient who requires a simple maintenance medication, or a more complex oral or injectable specialty medication, Vail Ranch Pharmacy offers several easy methods for sending a prescription:
A Key Account Manager will be assigned to act as your liaison. He or she will intake your prescriptions, verify your patient’s insurance, work with the insurance authorization department if necessary, and call your patient to arrange delivery. If there are ever any questions regarding the status of a patient’s prescription, insurance coverage issues or any other questions or concerns, you will always have direct access to your Key Account Manager.
Each prescription sent to Vail Ranch Pharmacy is reviewed by a highly-skilled pharmacist who will check for possible drug interactions or any other red flags that may affect your patient’s health. Our pharmacists have a wealth of knowledge and experience, and are committed to helping you and your patients. You can always call them directly for questions or information at 951-303-8300.
Many of the specialty drugs you prescribe for your patients have very specific guidelines in order to be covered by insurance. Many insurance companies require prior-authorizations for certain drugs. Our team of specialists works expeditiously to obtain prior-authorizations, and can make alternative formulary recommendations if the drugs you prescribe are not covered under your patient’s insurance plan.
Continuity of care is important. That’s why our Quality Assurance members call your patients before their refills are due and provide them with a personal contact if they have any issues regarding their prescriptions.
Vail Ranch Pharmacy’s delivery department ships prescriptions overnight directly to the patient’s home, office or any other designated location. Delivery is always free of charge.
